Tenders Are Invited for Consulting to Strengthen the Productive and Commercial Chain of Wood From Forest Plantations in Costa Rica
CAF invites consulting firms to submit proposals to support the strengthening of the production and commercial chain of wood from forest plantations in Costa Rica, boosting the competitiveness of the forestry sector and its contribution to the country's sustainable development.
At the request of the National Forestry Office (ONF) of Costa Rica, CAF – the development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean – will finance a specialized consultancy aimed at strengthening the production and commercial chain of wood from forest plantations in the country.
The call seeks to select a consulting firm to support the execution of the project “Strengthening the production and commercial chain of timber from forest plantations in Costa Rica” , through the development of technical, commercial and capacity-building proposals that contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the forestry sector and enhancing its contribution to the country's sustainable economic development.
This initiative recognizes the potential of the Costa Rican forestry sector to generate rural employment, strengthen local economies, promote decarbonization processes, and consolidate sustainable production models based on the responsible use of forest resources.
